New maths tools take the guesswork out of seal design.
After more than a year in the research lab, System Seals engineers have developed new tools that precisely measure side-load forces on guide bands. Knowing this, engineers can quickly calculate friction levels and potential for extrusion, while better understanding the unique characteristics of each cylinder.

Systemwind featured in PES journal
System Seals and its Systemwind offering is featured over 3 pages in the latest edition of Power & Energy Solutions (PES), the foremost industry journal for the wind sector. The edition coincides with the Husum Wind fair in Northern Germany, where System Seals is introducing its latest Vortex Plus main bearing seal.
“We believe that Systemwind, and in particular the innovative Vortex sealing concept, is a story worth telling to the European wind turbine industry, and the reach of PES allows us to do that at a very opportune time,” comments Director Sean Hensey.

Vortex Plus launches at Husum Wind 2023
System Seals was once again present at the most important industry fair for renewable energies for the German-speaking market.
From 12-15 September 2023, Husum Wind in Northern Germany attracted over 600 exhibitors showcase product innovations and cutting-edge technologies in the fields of onshore and offshore wind, green hydrogen, sector coupling, storage technologies, digitalisation, recycling & repowering and the associated finance industry.
Under the theme of Systemwind, System Seals launched its revolutionary Vortex Plus oil- and grease-pumping seal at the show.
